The neighborhood, moreover, is in close proximity to the Central Business District (CBD) of Connaught Place as well as to the iconic monuments of India Gate.

This zone is the geographical centre of New Delhi, the capital of India. The area encompasses the main seat of government, surrounded by official residential bungalows of government officials and residences of some of India’s most prominent and ultra-high net worth families.
Its heritage stature, therefore, attracts stringent development control norms in terms of redevelopment, increase in FAR, increase in height, etc. Some of the residential neighborhoods in the LBZ, where private bungalows are prevalent include Prithviraj Road, Abdul Kalam Azad Road (formerly Aurangzeb Road), Amrita Shergill Marg, Golf Links, Sunder Nagar and Sardar Patel Marg.
